The Human Edge
New exhibition opening Fall 2013. We're developing amazing new experiences that explore the bounds of what's humanly possible.
The Human Edge is a new 900 square-metre exhibition where visitors of all ages will explore limits that athletes, adventure-seekers and survivors discover through rigorous training, determination or risk-taking. What are the boundaries and thresholds of the human machine? How far can we push our own limits? The Human Edge will reveal new and exciting science through "bodies-on" activities and new perspectives on our unique artifacts.
Weston Family Innovation Centre
Weston Family Innovation Centre continues to evolve with the recent addition of many new, inquiry-based, hands-on exhibits.
Explore aerodynamics by testing human-sized wings and airplane designs, create moving sculptures and interact with heartbeats. Unleash your musical creativity as you engage with sound panels, the ferrofluid piano and test the materials orchestra. Meet some of history’s great innovators and discover how rigorous testing and even failure can lead to ideas and discoveries. Take risks. Make mistakes. Create something.
A Question of Truth
The exhibition A Question of Truth is a place to explore and challenge our beliefs, biases and points of view. And it now has a new home, on Level 5.
Rock 'n' Minerals
Coming soon...
The Rock Shop will re-open soon, with a new look and a new name, Rock 'n' Minerals. Look for it in its new location in the Rock Paper Science Hall.
Papermaking has moved!
Transform scrap paper and plants into new paper! Watch the Papermaking demonstration in its new location in the Rock Paper Science Hall. Then take away the instructions and make your own sheet of paper at home.
