KidSpark Hands-On Workshops

Join us in KidSpark on Level 4 for interactive workshops from birdwatching to story time. These free programs are for children 8 years and younger with their caregivers. (25 children maximum per workshop on a first-come first-served basis)

Story Time (2-7 years)

Fingerprinting Art (3-8 years old)
Ever thought of all the fun things you can create with your own fingerprint? Join us for this workshop and we will show you all the ways you can create!

Plasticine Art (5 years and up).
Join this new and exciting workshop and learn how to use plasticine in fun and creative new ways. Become your own artist and take your masterpiece home!

Backyard Bird Watching (3-8 years old)
Did you know that KidSpark has a great view of our woodlands and wetlands? Join us by the KidSpark window and experience the art of bird watching while learning all about the animals that live in and around our backyard wetlands.

Garden Workshop 
Did you know KidSpark has an outdoor garden? Check it out and then come to our workshop and discover how seeds grow into beautiful plants. Plant your own seed and learn how to take care of it.

Nature Walk: Scavenger Hunt
Kid's, bring your adult as we explore and open our senses to the natural world. Look up, down and all around as we search for plants, animals and other interesting things.

Marbling Workshop (3-8 years)
Create wonderful, multi-coloured marbled artwork! Every creation is unique and you get to take it home.

Fun With Play-Doh (suitable for children 3-8).
Have fun with PLAY-DOH^® in this sensory experience using a variety of different tools. Use your imagination and create your own creatures, towers and more!
