The Science of Bubbles

Featuring the spectacular talents of Deni Yang, this show will amaze you with the mind blowing science behind bubbles. Step into an interactive bubble world and be dazzled by spellbinding lasers and jaw-dropping masterpieces of bubble artistry.

Harry Potter™ Sorting Hat Demo

Experience Harry Potter: The Exhibition before it opens to the public on April 9!
During March Break only, randomly chosen visitors will have the chance to don the magical Sorting Hat and discover which House they will join: Gryffindor™, Hufflepuff™, Ravenclaw™ or Slytherin™.

See things smash, burn and explode at this special show, bringing together the Science Centre’s most magical and popular science demonstrations.
The Power Play

A madcap sports show where science has the main advantage. Touch down at the Science Centre this March Break and see what happens when science teams up with sport. (Hint: they both come out winners!) Greg Tarlin and Kristi Heath will once again perform some hilarious routines and crazy skills to show that science is much more than a demonstration sport!

Watch our flowers shatter into a thousand pieces at the flick of a finger. You’ll discover the science of how things react to ultra-cold temperatures.

See how to prevent fires, detect them and make an escape plan so you can "get low and go" under the smoke.

Travel to far-out places in the CA Planetarium — and while you’re trekking through the Milky Way, explore cosmic questions like: What’s out there? Where did we come from? And are there any other worlds like our own? Experience breathtaking views of the night sky.

EARTH: 8083 – New Art Exhibition

It is the year 8083 and famed archaeologist Professor Hartwiggle from the planet Twiggle is on one of his regular exploratory excursions around the universe. Suddenly, equipment failure causes his ship to spin out of control and he crash-lands on an uninhabited planet. Near his landing site, the professor finds evidence that life once existed there. Who were these creatures? What happened to them?

Papermaking Demo

Transform cloth and plants into paper. Watch the Papermaking Demonstration and note the steps used to make paper, and then take the instructions and try it at home.

Don’t miss the Science Centre’s most shocking demonstration! You’ll get a charge out of the Van de Graaff generator (a.k.a. “The Ball That Makes Your Hair Stand Up”) and find out “what’s watt” with this whole electricity thing!
