Privacy Policy

The Ontario Science Centre Development Office collects and retains personal contact information, under the authority of the Centennial Centre of Science and Technology Act, for the purposes of fulfilling donor benefits, issuing tax receipts and notifying donors of events or promotional offers, marketing membership and Science Centre products and fundraising activities. This information may also be used to administer Ontario Science Centre programs, improve museum services, communications, publications (print and electronic), or otherwise used to better serve constituents.

The Science Centre Development Office will not sell, trade or exchange email addresses. Nor will it sell, trade or exchange contact lists with commercial organizations, political candidates, or for unspecified use. All donors may request at any time that their information be or not be included in future exchanges.

The Science Centre Development Office will occasionally use web beacons, tiny graphics placed within an email, to allow us to analyze certain aggregate statistics, such as how many emails are opened and when and which links are clicked. This information helps us improve the efficacy and timing of our communications. These statistics are generally not associated with an individual, but may sometimes record the users email address to allow us to better tailor future communications.
