Ms. Francis is a biochemist who joined the Ontario Science Centre in 1999. During her time at the Ontario Science Centre, Ms. Francis has been working in the field of science communications as an educator, a camp counselor and a researcher/programmer.
Ms. Francis worked on the exhibition Strange Matter, where she delved into the hidden world of material science. She continues to share the excitement of exploring science in the everyday world through a number of projects including, programming outdoor events, encouraging the union of art & science in the Ontario Science Centre and developing novel experiences to foster innovative behaviour in the Weston Family Innovation Centre. Lately she's been working on the popular offsite series Café Scientifique and making observations on the Ontario Science Centre’s latest experiment – a Friday night youth program which mixes science, social networking and global issues.
