Sara Poirier

Researcher/Programmer in Astronomy & Space Sciences

Ms. Poirier received honours B.Sc. in Physics and Astronomy from the University of Toronto. She worked as a research assistant in the Department of Astronomy and at NASA’s Goddard Spaceflight Centre before joining the Ontario Science Centre in 2001. Ms. Poirier enjoys the opportunity to creatively apply her experience in the development of exhibits and programs related to astronomy and space sciences and in the production of shows for the Ontario Science Centre’s new CA Planetarium.

In 2006, Ms. Poirier completed graduate coursework at the International Space University, specializing in the human exploration of space. Ms. Poirier enjoys sharing her enthusiasm for astronomy and space sciences with the public and makes frequent appearances on local and national media.
