Bring your students to Leonardo da Vinci's Workshop, a Special Exhibition that will encourage them to explore the science of art and machines, experience unique 3-D models presenting Leonardo’s drawings and notebooks, and learn about his life story. Dissect and probe Leonardo’s work through sophisticated touch screens. See Leonardo’s concepts spring to life – from his screw-shaped flying machine to a mechanical lion, an “automobile”, musical instruments and much more. Were his drawings his way of clarifying concepts in his mind, or shorthand for jotting down his thoughts? How many of his ideas might have worked? Inquire, discuss and draw your conclusions about these and many other questions. Use innovative technology to interact with his paintings, zoom in to view more details and see how Leonardo’s Last Supper, the Mona Lisa and his presumed self-portrait would have appeared without restoration.
