Science Cafe topic: Water: How well do you know H2O?
This month we have a great set of speakers who may get you thinking about water in new ways!
Alex and Tyler Mifflin are the Water Brothers - globe-travelling hosts of a new eco-adventure TV series which is exploring the most important water stories of our time. . Come to Sci Fri and watch a sneak preview of their story months before it hits the TV screen.
Should Toronto high schools ban bottled water? Anjali and Sonali are Toronto high school students who founded the organization TAPH2O (Teens against the privatization of water). Find out why they are raising awareness of the impacts of bottled water and water privatization, and what you can do to help.
Designed for water? Aziza Chaouni and Liat Margolis are University of Toronto professors with a passion for design. They will share a few innovative ways of designing cities, buildings, and products for a future where water is scarce.
Change your view of tap water. Watch the videos produced by the teen winners of a recent contest in the city of Guelph, and hear the background story of how they were produced and judged.
