Visitor Services

We have a number of services to make your visit to the Ontario Science Centre even more enjoyable.

Accessibility

We’re proud that the Ontario Science Centre is barrier-free. We offer extra-wide parking, free wheelchairs and strollers, wheelchair seating in the Shoppers Drug Mart® OMNIMAX® Theatre and Imperial Oil Auditorium, barrier-free elevators, a washroom for special needs persons and safe areas of refuge in case of emergency.

Community Access

The Ontario Science Centre is committed to making science and technology accessible to all members of the community. Under a special part of our Community Access program, admission to the Science Centre is only $2.00 for adults and free for children (age 4-12), youths (age 13-17), and seniors (age 65+). Every year many community organizations serving needy families and individuals bring their clients to the Centre to enjoy exciting science exhibits and demonstrations under this special program.

To take advantage of this part of our program, arrangements must be made in advance by any organization that serves low-income clients. Clients can come for group outings or coupons can be distributed to allow them to come on their own.

If you represent an organization that serves low-income clients, contact us for more information or to apply with a brief email or fax.

Another part of the program is designed for special needs clients in a registered program of treatment. Organizations conducting these programs may pre-arrange free admission for their special needs clients and escorts.

Adopt-a-Class and Free Fridays after 2 p.m. for Youth

Starting this September, the Ontario Science Centre will be offering two new community access programs: Adopt-a-Class and Free Fridays after 2 p.m. for students.

Adopt-a-Class
Some 75 classes from among the Toronto District School Board’s Model Schools for Inner Cities project to attend the Ontario Science Centre at no cost, transportation included, thanks to the program’s founding partner Procter & Gamble and the sponsorship of Amgen Canada.

Free Fridays after 2 p.m.
General admission for all secondary school students will be free on Friday afternoons after 2 p.m. Students must present a valid student ID card in order to qualify. All experiences included in general admission will be available to these youth, including daily demonstrations and the Weston Family Innovation Centre.
