A program designed to meet the unique learning needs of babies and toddlers

Babies are born scientists, experimenting and exploring the world around them with every toy they put in their mouths and each cup they knock off the table. Make the most of this time of exploration during Science Baby!

Starting May 7, join us for weekly sessions with your child (aged 6–24 months). Watch as your baby makes new discoveries about motion, animals, colour and sound through experiences designed with developmental milestones in mind.

With sessions tailored to children ages 6–12 months, 13–18 months and 19–24 months old with their caregivers, these Early childhood educator (ECE)-designed and -led activities will help you understand your child’s development in a relaxed, fun, science-focused environment. Plus, meet other parents and caregivers who are at the same stage as you!

  • 6–12 month olds: Tuesdays from 10:30–11:30 a.m. or 1:30–2:30 p.m.
  • 13–18 month olds: Wednesdays from 10:30–11:30 a.m.
  • 19–24 month olds: Thursdays from 10:30–11:30 a.m.

This program runs four consecutive weeks, beginning on May 7, and costs $165 (HST included), with a $15 discount for Members at the Planetary, Stellar, Galactic and Cosmic levels. If you have two children in the same age range, the cost is $265 for both children and one caregiver. Prices include parking as well as admission to the Science Centre for the day.
