Research Live!

Research Live! takes science out of the lab, exposing how research happens and who does it.

Over the past 20 years, the Ontario Science Centre has worked with academic institutions and research hospitals to engage over 35,000 participants in research studies on our museum floor. Topics have included concussions, motion sickness in virtual reality, handwriting biomechanics, and child cognitive development and learning.

Through fun and engaging hands-on activities and interactions, visitors contribute to advancements in science and technology. The experience also provides visitors with the opportunity to meet a real scientist, and promotes dialogue about the importance of research and the scientific method. The visiting scientists are also role models, helping to break stereotypes about scientists and encouraging our youngest visitors to consider potential careers in STEM.

Learn more about the researchers and studies currently on our floor by visiting the Demos, Programs + Special Events page.
