Little Scientists, Big Ideas (4-5 year olds)

Make new friends, explore hands-on exhibits and discover how real science gets put to work in our neighbourhood every day. You won’t believe how a little science can spark big ideas!

🍁 Inventor Centre (5-12 year olds)

Discover what insulin, the electric wheelchair, IMAX® and five-pin bowling have in common as we investigate influential Canadian innovations in medicine, engineering, technology and sport. Put YOUR curiosity and creativity to the test and become Canada's next great innovator!

🍁 Canadian Science: It's In Our Nature (5-12 year olds)

Tap into the secrets of maple syrup, get warmed up by a chinook and disguise yourself like an arctic hare. From energy to ecology, tectonic plates to calving glaciers, explore our great Canadian landscape and unearth the science of our home and native land!

Science Centre Innovators (13-14 year olds)

Join us for a week of hands-on activities and behind-the-scenes exploration. With the guidance of Science Centre experts, you'll perform experiments and even design an exhibit prototype to showcase your findings and put your new discoveries to the test!

General Information


Campers must be 4 to 14 years old while at Camp and may only be registered in age-specific themes. Campers cannot participate in the same theme twice. Campers will be divided into groups of 20 to 25 according to their age. Within their group, campers will be no more than one year apart in age.

Please note: As per “The Child Care and Early Years Act,” we cannot care for children under the age of 4. Campers registered as 4 or 5 year olds may be required to provide proof of age (birth certificate).

Camp Hours

9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday to Friday
Extended care with games, educational videos and quiet activities is available from 7:30 to 9 a.m. and from 4 to 6 p.m for $75/week.
Half-Day Camp (Little Scientists, Big Ideas): 9 a.m. to 12 p.m., Monday to Friday

Camp T-shirt

Campers receive one complimentary T-shirt per week to wear daily at Camp.


Campers are supervised at all times. Counsellors have science and education backgrounds, experience working with children and Vulnerable Sector Screening Checks, along with training in First Aid and CPR. A certified First Aid Provider is also on site.

Special Needs

The Science Centre is unable to provide one-on-one supervision, adapted programming, specific medical support or a nut-free environment. Please notify us if a support person will be accompanying your child at Camp.

Meal Plan

A hot lunch (downloadable order form) is available at an additional rate of $11/day.

Price includes all applicable taxes. Additional coupons and/or passes do not apply. Fees waived for adult Support Persons accompanying campers with disabilities.

*To qualify for an Ontario Science Centre Member Discount:

  • The person booking the camper must be his/her custodial parent or legal guardian and also hold a current Silver, Gold, Planetary, Stellar, Galactic or Cosmic level Ontario Science Centre Membership that includes children.
  • The membership must be valid on the date the Ontario Science Centre receives the registration.

Bookings will be accepted until Wednesday at 4 p.m. prior to the start of your selected Camp week, subject to availability. We accept AMEX, Visa or MasterCard. Full payment is required at time of booking. Only the custodial parent and/or legal guardian is permitted to submit a Camp booking.

Cancellation / refund policy

No refund for cancellations after Friday, June 9, 2017.
Cancellations prior to June 9, 2017, and all modifications, including extended hours are subject to a $70 administration fee.

No refunds will be given for days when a camper is absent, and missed days cannot be made up.

A refund due to medical reasons may be considered if a written request, accompanied by a doctor's note, is received within a week of the missed Camp.

Programs, prices and policies are subject to change without notice.

Please note that the Ontario Science Centre reserves the right to terminate the registration of any camper if, in the opinion of the Manager, it is in the best interest of the camper and / or Camp. If the Ontario Science Centre terminates a camper’s registration, a pro-rated refund will be considered.
