Community Access

Community Access Montage


Through this program, classes from schools in the Toronto District School Board and Toronto Catholic District School Board that are located in Toronto's most underserved neighbourhoods will be able to visit the Ontario Science Centre and participate in a curriculum-related program at no cost, with many classes also receiving transportation thanks to Google, Praxair, PPG and other generous individuals, foundations and corporate supporters.


With the support of companies like Celestica, many classes or even whole schools from the Toronto District School Board, are able to visit the Ontario Science Centre and participate in a curriculum-related program at no cost, transportation included.

Community Pass Program

The Ontario Science Centre is committed to making science and technology accessible to all members of the community. We are excited to announce that we have partnered with Kids Up Front Toronto, a local charitable organization that helps other charities obtain discounted tickets for children to attractions, sporting events and other cultural activities. Community Pass Program rates are available to agencies approved by Kids Up Front Toronto. Museum + Arts Pass Program

The Ontario Science Centre participates in the Toronto Public Library’s Museum + Arts Pass (MAP) program. “Borrow” a pass for up to 2 adults and 2 children from 32 select Toronto Public Library branches. Institute for Canadian Citizenship Cultural Access Pass Program

The Ontario Science Centre participates in the Cultural Access Pass program administered by the Institute of Canadian Citizenship. Through this program, new Canadian citizens may obtain a year-long pass providing complimentary general admission to key cultural attractions. Restrictions apply. Access 2 Card Program

The Ontario Science Centre participates in the Access 2 Card program, a collaborative partnership between Easter Seals Canada and over 500 movie theatres, cultural attractions, entertainment venues, and recreation facilities across Canada. Designed for people of all ages who have a permanent disability and require the assistance of a support person, the goal of the Access 2 Program is to improve social inclusion and provide access to entertainment, cultural and recreation experiences without any added financial burden. Upon presentation of the Access 2 Card to our Visitor Services staff, the support person of the cardholder receives complimentary admission.

Groups with Support

Organizations that serve clients with disabilities are eligible to make bookings for group visits with their clients at the following discounts:

  • 20% off general admission tickets
  • Admission is waived for a Support Person accompanying a person with a disability

To qualify for these rates:

  • The visit must be booked in advance by the organization
  • An Access 2 Card must be presented by a member of the visiting group at check-in on the day of the visit
