Wolfsburg, Germany (2005 and 2007)

The Ontario Science Centre’s relationship with phaeno started in 2005 when they approached us with interest in our consulting services, as well as our supervisor/ recruitment training and host training. Even before phaeno opened, we were involved in helping to assess their operational needs and they used the Ontario Science Centre as a ‘sounding board’ as they shaped their vision.

In 2006, they again asked for our collaboration as we worked with a staff member from phaeno who was directly involved in recruitment and management of their on-floor staff. Through job-shadowing and workshops, training took place at the Ontario Science Centre over the period of one month. This was valuable as it allowed them to envision the role of their floor staff and ensure a hiring, training and evaluation process to support that vision.

Our relationship continued and in 2007, we were contracted to come to phaeno to support them in the implementation of their own philosophies and practices through training of the floor staff, the floor staff leaders and helping the entire staff understand their role in supporting the mission of phaeno.

With no models at the time in Germany, phaeno created a unique vision which our consulting services were able to support and help advance.
