TORONTO (November 26, 2025) – Fill your Winter Break with curiosity and a dash of wonder at Ontario Science Centre Experiences! This year, experience the return of a beloved Science Centre holiday tradition with inventor Rowland Emett’s one-of-a-kind kinetic Dream Machines, on display at CF Sherway Gardens. Plus, attend an inspiring special event with Canadian astronaut, aquanaut and author Dr. Dave Williams on December 7, enjoy hands-on fun and a full day of discovery at Winter Break Camps, learn-through-play at KidSpark at Harbourfront Centre and more!
Curiosity shines bright with science-packed fun for the whole family!
- Experience the Wonder of Rowland Emett’s Dream Machines – Admire the whimsical creations of eccentric artist and inventor Rowland Emett, whose work was featured in the classic 1968 film Chitty Chitty Bang Bang. From the 9-metre-long Tea Train to the Featherstone Kite Flying Machine and many more -- this one-of-a-kind collection of kinetic sculptures turns ordinary objects into the extraordinary! On display now and included with admission to Ontario Science Centre Experiences at CF Sherway Gardens.
- Have an out-of-this world experience with an Astronaut – Join Canadian astronaut, aquanaut and author Dr. Dave Williams for a special event on Sunday, December 7 from 11 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. at Ontario Science Experiences at CF Sherway Gardens! Hear Dr. Dave’s incredible stories from space and his insights into NASA’s upcoming Artemis mission. Plus, enjoy a reading from Dr. Dave’s book, Space on Earth: How Thinking Like an Astronaut Can Help Save the Planet, then stay for a Q&A! This special event is included with admission.
- Winter Break Camps at CF Sherway Gardens – Let your child’s curiosity take the lead while the grown-ups get holiday shopping done, with these popular Science Centre drop-off programs. Kids ages 5–12 can try hands-on experiments with Ontario Science Centre experts, explore exhibits and enjoy a full day of discovery from 9 a.m. - 4 p.m. They will learn about biology on December 22, discover the fascinating worlds of chemistry and physics on December 23 and December 29, and reach for the stars with space science on December 30!
- Explore KidSpark at Harbourfront Centre – Learn through play at one of the Science Centre’s most popular experiences that’s great for kids 10 and under! Fill up a cart at the pretend supermarket, visit the stuffed animal veterinary clinic, and take a fishing trip in this interactive space. Plus, while at Harbourfront Centre step into a festive wonderland at Winterfest and enjoy ice skating at the rink beginning November 28.
- Try a Thrilling Adventure at CF Sherway Gardens – Investigate, collaborate, problem-solve, play, build and climb your way through Survival: The Exhibition! Then, immerse yourself in the natural world with Earth Matters and explore, experiment and spark curiosity at the Innovation Station, Imagination Playground and Rigamajig.

Admission to Ontario Science Centre Experiences at Harbourfront Centre and CF Sherway Gardens is $15 per person, including tax. Admission for kids ages 2 and under is free.
