Spring into Hands-On Fun this March Break with Ontario Science Centre

– Curiosity comes to life this March Break! Join the Ontario Science Centre from Saturday, March 14 to Sunday, March 22 for special programming, interactive pop-ups and hands-on learning. Visitors can discover the biodiversity of Ontario’s wildlife with  activities at KidSpark at Harbourfront Centre, have a night of science-packed fun at Kids’ Night Out, and explore Science Centre pop-ups at the Toronto Zoo and London Children’s Museum.

Enjoy family-friendly activities that will keep curious minds busy all week long!

Explore KidSpark at Harbourfront Centre – Fill up a cart at the pretend supermarket, visit the stuffed animal veterinary clinic, and take a fishing trip in this interactive space designed for kids 10 and under! Plus, from Monday, March 16 to Sunday, March 22 visitors can learn about the biodiversity of Ontario’s wildlife with animal meet-and-greets, touchable specimens, wilderness expertise and more – activities will run at 11 a.m., 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. each day. Included with admission to KidSpark.

Kids’ Night Out at Harbourfront Centre – Get ready for a Saturday night of science fun with no grown-ups allowed! On Saturday, March 14 and Saturday, March 21 from 5:30 p.m. - 8:30 p.m., kids ages 5-12 can get hands-on with science activities hosted by Ontario Science Centre experts. Participants will learn how the heart works, discover its anatomy, and try out some special tools that doctors use!

March Break Moon Mission at the Toronto Zoo – Explore three interactive stations in Toronto Zoo pavilions on Monday, March 16, Wednesday, March 18 and Friday, March 20 from 10 a.m. - 3 p.m. Solve the lunar challenges at each stop to collect the codes you need to crack the safe and discover what’s inside! Included with admission to the Toronto Zoo.

Discover the Science Behind Animal Camouflage at London Children’s Museum – On Thursday, March 19 and Friday, March 20 from 9:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m., learn how animals use camouflage and patterns in nature. Then, visitors can contribute to our giant pollinator garden with paper butterflies, bees, birds, and insects! Included with admission to the London Children’s Museum.

Admission to KidSpark at Harbourfront Centre is $15 per person, including tax. Admission for kids ages 2 and under is free. For hours of operation, registering for drop-off programs, group visits and more information, please visit OntarioScienceCentre.ca.
