Go on a nautical adventure filled with exciting and interactive science activities at Camp

Get ready to unlock the science secrets behind life on the sea. Find out how soundwaves are used for communication and navigation, create your own sea creature to take home, work with a team to create a boat that stays afloat—and much more!

At March Break Camp, children ages 5 to 10 will get the chance to play, experiment and learn while they explore exhibit halls, make new friends and take part in interactive sea-themed science activities.

Our enthusiastic Camp counsellors provide trusted supervision and deliver activities in private, Camp-friendly spaces within the Science Centre.

This Camp is being offered on-site at the Science Centre from March 11–15 with limited spots available. Participants will register once for all five days of the program.

Price: $410 including HST, $385 for Members (Planetary, Stellar, Galactic or Cosmic levels only).

Camp Logistics

When—March Break Camp hours are 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Extended Care is available for an additional $75 for the week. Morning Extended Care begins at 8 a.m. and ends when Camp begins. Afternoon Extended Care begins at 4:15 p.m. and ends at 6 p.m.

Where—Camp is held at the Science Centre. Each group of Campers is provided with a private area (for example, a science lab, classroom or workshop room) that serves as their main Camp-room.

What—Campers spend their day exploring exhibit halls and participating in science activities in small groups with other children in the same age range.

Meals—Campers should bring two snacks, three drinks and a packed lunch. While we ask all Campers not to bring food containing nut products, as a public facility, we cannot guarantee a nut-free environment. Lunch is also available to order in advance from our on-site food service provider (see form for details).

Note that Campers who order lunch should still bring a morning snack, as lunches will be delivered at noon.
