What to Expect

Maintenance work is happening in and around the Ontario Science Centre. Here’s what you need to know:

  • The Science Centre looks a little different right now, but it’s the same great experience!
  • Fall hours: Beginning September 10, we are open Wednesday to Friday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Saturday and Sunday 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. We are closed Mondays and Tuesdays.
  • Tickets: Members do not need to book ahead. Visitors should buy general admission tickets in advance online. Visitors with discounts, or CityPASS holders, can get their tickets on site.
  • Parking: Our main parking lot off Don Mills Road is open. Once you park, just take our shuttle service from the front entrance to the rear entrance. If you’re going to see a film in the OMNIMAX® Theatre, please use our front entrance on Don Mills Rd.
Please note: There is no parking, pick-ups or drop-offs at the rear entrance.
  • Shuttles: After you park, you can take our free and accessible shuttle service from the front entrance to the rear entrance. Or, you can walk—get those steps in and enjoy some fresh air!
  • OMNIMAX® Theatre: IMAX® films are available only on weekends until October 2. Please check our website for ticket info and updates.
  • Exhibitions: Yes! KidSpark, Science Arcade, TELUS Rainforest, and all of our regular exhibit halls are open for everyone to enjoy
  • Lockers: There are a limited number of lockers available on Level 6 by the rear entrance. Lockers cost $1 for one-time use. Don't forget to bring a loonie!
  • We’re ready: There are lots of signs and extra Science Centre team members on site to point you in the right direction. We are always happy to help—just ask!
  • Health and Safety: We follow the Government of Ontario’s public health measures and advice. As of March 21, 2022, masks are no longer required to be worn by visitors in the Centre although they are strongly encouraged. Please respect each other’s masking choices.
