Adult Volunteers

Join our volunteer team at VE3 OSC!

We are looking for licensed Amateur Radio Operators to operate our Radio Shack (VE3 OSC).

As an Amateur Radio Shack Volunteer, you will:

  • Help visitors explore the world of amateur radio under the guidance of licensed operators.
  • Facilitate hands-on visitor experiences using radio equipment to communicate with amateur radio operators around the world.
  • Regularly work alongside fellow volunteers (whenever possible) for a collaborative, supportive experience.

To qualify, potential volunteers must:

  • Commit to a consistent 4-hour shift at least twice a month (weekly commitment strongly preferred).
  • Possess an Amateur Radio Operator Certificate, Basic with Honours or Advanced Qualification.

Other Adult Volunteers

We are not currently recruiting other adult volunteers (18+). Thank you for your interest.

Youth Volunteers

Each Summer Camp season, we look for youth volunteers between 15 and 17 years old who would like to:

  • Make new friends, explore science and act as positive, supportive role models to children
  • Earn community service hours while learning new skills and knowledge
  • Provide families and children with the best Science Centre experience possible
