International Day of Women and Girls in Science

Join us for a special event to celebrate women and their inspiring work in the fields of science!

Sunday, February 11
11 a.m.–2 p.m.
Hot Zone, Level 6

Meet incredible young women who are pursuing exciting STEM careers. Find out what inspired their love of science and where they see themselves in the future during a special presentation followed by a Q&A session. Ask them your burning questions and get tips to help you reach your own goals! Explore more science and inspiring stories through videos and hands-on activities with representatives from the Canadian Association of Girls in Science (CAGIS) and IF THEN/SHE CAN, who will be celebrating the International Day of Women and Girls in Science with us.

Plus, join author Caroline Fernandez for a reading from her book, Asha and Baz Meet Mary Sherman Morgan*, followed by a Q&A session. Then make your own mini rocket to take home!

Schedule:
Storytime with Caroline Fernandez: 11 a.m.–12 p.m.
Author signing: 12–12:30 p.m.
Youth presentations: 12:30–1 p.m.

*Asha and Baz Meet Mary Sherman Morgan, plus other books in the Asha and Baz series, will be available to buy on the day of the event at our Science Souvenirs kiosk on Level 6.
