Explore the resourceful design skills of the Métis people. During this presentation by the Métis Nation of Ontario, learn about inspiring Métis innovations, including a horse-drawn cart that can transform into a canoe and travel across water.
Then, pick up a needle and thread and follow along as you learn a traditional method of stitching used by Métis that dates back to the 1700s. Get crafty and sew a felt orange shirt or a paper canoe!
We are pleased to offer this program the weekend before National Day for Truth and Reconciliation on September 30.
Each session is approximately 30 minutes in length and ideal for visitors ages 6 and up. Please note that spots are limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis.
