Get ready for an evening of Valentine’s fun at the Science Centre—no grown-ups allowed!
On Saturday February 11, from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m., we are hosting our first Kids’ Night Out event for children ages 5 to 12. To celebrate Valentine’s Day, we’ll be taking a close look at one of the body’s most interesting organs: the heart, of course!
While their grown-ups are out having a Valentine’s date night of their own, kids will enjoy heart-themed science activities, demonstrations and crafts alongside other children in their age group. They will investigate their heart rates, build a structure out of paper hearts and much more.
Since participants are sure to work up a hearty appetite with all this fun, we’ll be serving pizza and treats.
Price: $55 per child including HST, $50 for members (Planetary, Stellar, Galactic or Cosmic levels only).
When—This event will run on Saturday February 11, 2023, from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. Extended Care is available until 9:30 p.m. for an additional $15.
Where—Kids’ Night Out: Valentine’s Edition will be held at the Science Centre. Participants will be placed into groups based on age. Note: Please enter the Science Centre through the front entrance. Participants will not be accessing the exhibit halls during the program.
What—During Kids’ Night Out, participants will enjoy heart-themed science activities in small groups with other children in the same age group.
