About the Exhibition

From the cosmic speed limit to the mysteries of dark matter to black holes, Power of Ideas explores changing ideas about our universe—designed to foster curiosity, creativity and a hands-on approach to learning the scientific method. Its unique exhibits invite visitors to crank up the power of the Large Hadron Collider to smash protons, stand on the edge of a black hole and watch their legs turn to spaghetti and travel from the vastness of the universe down to the subatomic scale.

Project History

Our client for the Power of Ideas exhibition was the acclaimed Perimeter Institute for Theoretical Physics, the world’s largest research hub devoted to the subject. They reached out with a specific objective—to co-create a travelling exhibition for a cross-country tour of high schools and science centres in celebration of Canada’s sesquicentennial. The task—help design an exhibition that engaged youth and families in the fundamental laws of physics. This project paired the complex science of the Perimeter Institute with our hallmark interactivity, propelling both organizations on a journey to explore the limits of our collective creativity and imagination.
